What does Microsoft Secure Score do and how do I use it?
It’s a built-in dashboard that measures the security status of your Microsoft 365 environment and provides concrete recommendations to improve security.
Should administrators (admins) use a separate account?
Yes, administrators should use a regular account for day-to-day work (such as email) and only use their admin account for administrative tasks.
Are Microsoft’s default settings (defaults) secure enough?
Although Security Defaults provide a good foundation, they are often too permissive. For proper security, you need to configure specific rules and policies yourself.
What is Conditional Access and why do I need it?
It lets you set rules that determine when someone is allowed to sign in, for example only from company devices or from specific countries.
How do I protect sensitive business data against leaks within Microsoft 365?
By setting up Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Sensitivity Labels, which prevent misuse or accidental sharing of data.
Does Microsoft automatically back up all my Microsoft 365 data?
No, Microsoft guarantees the availability of the cloud (uptime), but is not responsible for data loss caused by, for example, ransomware or human error. An external backup is still necessary.
